On Thursday, November 8, 2018 Jerry Couch Jr. passed away suddenly at the age of 54 at the U of U Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jerry was living in Florida and had returned to Salt Lake City for a visit and suddenly fell ill.
Known to his friends and relatives as Jerry or Jerry Lee. Jerry was born in Mt. Home Air Force Base, Mt. Home, Idaho on April 19, 1963.
He attended schools in Gooding, Idaho until age 15 when the family moved to Morden, Manitoba, Canada where his father had taken a promotion to assist opening of a new Tupperware Manufacturing Plant there in 1979.
He finished school there and graduated and later worked at the Tupperware Plant. He met his future wife Kathy Lynn Wiebe of Winkler, Manitoba who also worked there. They were married on June 14, 1986 at the Lutheren Church in Winkler and resided in Winkler afterwards.
Jerry worked as a weight shifter in the foundries in Winkler and also worked in other manufacturing plants around the area. He sometimes did part time work at the Pembina Printing shop where Kathy worked.
Kathy passed away on Aug. 10, 2014. Jerry sold the home a year later and moved to Salt Lake City to be nearer to relatives in November 2015.
He is survived in death by his father- Jerry Couch Sr. of South Salt Lake City, Utah, brother- Clifford Glenn Couch and wife Audrey Joan of Lakeland, Florida, niece-Samantha Angenlina Couch of Lakeland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Lynn (Wiebe) Couch, and his mother, Phyllis Kay Couch of Nampa, Idaho.
