Jesse Troy Johnson

It is with great sadness that the family of Jesse Troy Johnson announce his passing on Saturday, January 9th, 2021, at the age of 46 years. He was a resident of Taylorsville, Utah.


Jesse was survived by his daughters, Cynthia of California, Aisha Reyes and her husband, Eric Exner of Seattle, Washington. He was a loving brother to his brother, Matt and his wife Sherry Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah, His sister, Stacie and husband Dusty Hopper of Alaska, and brother, Michael Anderson of Kenai, Alaska. His nephews Bobby, Cory, Austin, and Shawn of Washington. His nieces Audrey, Lydia, Alia of Alaska. Many aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his mother, Debra Anderson, father, Bud Johnson, and grandmother, Darlene Allman, and grandfather, Grant Allman. He dedicated 25 years of his life to Salt Lake Community College where he created long lasting relationships with so many that loved him like family.


Jesse was an extraordinary soul who had an impact on everyone he came in contact with. He was the life of any party. He was a curious intellectual whose fascination with the vastness of the universe and different forms of life on our planet drove him to care for everyone and everything in his life as if they were family to him. Jesse was loved by family and friends. He was beloved at work. He loved to listen to music, write poems and letters for his loved ones. He was an avid collector and passionate about silver and gold. He enjoyed and loved adventures to Alaska and the life he had there. He always planned to return someday for one more fishing trip.


Jesse's life was celebrated on his birthday, January 14th, 2021. If there is anything you want to do to celebrate his life, the family asks that you pay it forward with kindness, smiles, and love. We will carry the memories we have with him in our hearts forever and continue to spread the joy he brought to our lives in his honor.
