Kathryn (Kathy) Huff
On Saturday, February 1, 2020, Kathryn (Kathy) Huff passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah where she spent the last three years, at the age of 82. She will be forever remembered by her friends and family.
Born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Dec. 2nd, 1937, Kathy grew up and attended school in Hood River, Oregon, graduating from Hood River High School in 1955. She married Bobby Huff, a career Navy man in 1956 and the couple raised six children between the states of Oregon and California. Kathy attended community college obtaining her real estate license and working towards her college degree. She enjoyed a rich and varied work life, most notably as a successful real estate agent in northern California but also enjoyed several home-based business ventures and worked as a waitress, accountant, security guard and taxi driver.
Kathy was a devoted Christian with strong faith. She enjoyed serving her community and her congregation, completing several mission trips to Arizona and Mexico where she aided in delivering supplies and building houses for those in need. She eventually became an ordained minister, even officiating her youngest daughter’s wedding ceremony.
Kathy enjoyed 47 years of sobriety and often shared her experiences to help others who suffered with addiction.
Kathy is survived by her children: son Timothy Huff of Spokane, Washington (children Timothy II, Miranda, Veronica, Ashley & Alexis); son Tony and wife Roxanna Huff of Mexia, Texas (children Kristina, Keath, Kevin, Kyle, Kimberly, Karin, Katie, Kaleb, Kasandra, Karissa, Keara, Kaden, Kyleah, Kaeyln, Keanna, Kristopher, Kodee, and Kato); daughter Rhoda Jennings and companion Glen Williams of Salt Lake City Utah (son Jerry); daughter Brenda Werden and companion Steve Self of Sedro-Woolley, Washington (daughter Brandie); son Bryan Huff of Grand Rapids, Michigan (daughter Haley); daughter Rhonda and husband Troy Gillespie of Camas, Washington (son Curtis and daughter Heather); niece Crystal and husband Mike Freed of Stockwell, Indiana; sister-in-law Eileen Codino of the Dalles, Oregon; brother-in-law Ron and wife Lorraine Huff of Wenatchee, Washington; brother-in-law Don Huff of Oregon; and 33 great grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Edgar Moon Sr., mother Esther Burns, brother Edgar Moon Jr., and brother Edward Burns Jr.
A remembrance will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Kramer's Funeral Home, 2500 S Decker Lake Blvd, West Valley City, UT followed by a no host gathering at Dee’s restaurant, 2085 South Redwood RD, Salt Lake City, UT.
