LaDonna May Griffis McCullough passed away peacefully March 6, 2018. She was born January 30, 1936 to William Nathaniel and Maggie May Allred Griffis in Naples, Utah. Ladonna grew up in the Naples/Vernal area until as a young girl her family moved to Tooele, Utah. It was there she met and married Dayton Bonnie Bell, September 1, 1951. They later divorced. After divorcing, LaDonna moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to be near her parents. She met and married Grady Leonidas McCullough March 28,1969. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple.
LaDonna was a hard worker all her life. She became a mother at a young age and focused her life raising her sons. She also participated in the foster parent program and helped many children. She had a variety of jobs mostly in retail sales. At the age of 46 she went back to school, worked hard, and at age 47 proudly received her high school diploma.
Ladonna had many interests throughout her life. She enjoyed bowling (including state and nationals), square dancing, crocheting, traveling, camping, shopping, shopping, and more shopping. She like John Wayne movies, Elvis Presley, Sean Connery, and country music. She loved babies, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
LaDonna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Young Women's, Relief Society, and ward choir. She loved attending the temple.
LaDonna is survived by her sons, George (Michelle) Bell, Salt Lake City, Utah, Walter (Susan) Bell, Ballwin, Missouri, Kurt McCullough, Harlingen, Texas, and daughter, Millie Carey, West Jordan, Utah, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 AM with a friends and family visitation from 10 - 1045 AM at the LDS chapel located at 5235 S Wesley Rd in Salt Lake City.
