Lois Jo Ann Sporcich, known to friends and family as Jo Ann, passed away on January 12, 2020 at the age of 82.
Jo Ann was born in Walsenburg, Colorado. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado when she was a child. Jo Ann spent over 70 years there in the family home her parents bought in the 1940’s. She loved family and recently moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be near more of them. She loved children and spent over 40 years as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Hospital in Denver. She adored dogs and they adored her. She loved visiting family when she was able, especially her nieces and nephews and their families. She enjoyed rock collecting and visiting Quartzsite, Arizona for the rock and gem show every year, a hobby her father got the entire family started on. She spent a lot of time in her raspberry garden admiring her roses, irises and maple tree, visiting with the neighbors she so deeply cared about. She was a very kind and loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She will be missed and always remembered.
Jo Ann is survived by her brother John (Sue) Swank, sisters Mary Kathryn (Ron) Bond, Carol (Garold) Dye and Barbara (Ron) Black, and by her beloved numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Lois Sporcich and by her brother Michael and sister Beverly.
We would like to thank the caring staff at Pacifica for their special care and kindness to Jo Ann.

There will be a celebration of her life at a near future date, yet to be determined.
