Petra Wilson
In Loving MemoryPetra Wilson passed away June 13th with family by her side. She was born March 13th in Hamburg, Germany to Gustav & Christa Rosin. As a child she was a talented ice skater and competitive swimmer. In the late 50s she came to Utah to live with her cousin for a year and learn English and ended up staying here. She married Dee Wilson in 1961 (later divorced). The majority of her career was spent at John Wiley & Sons, where she worked her way up from a clerk to manager of the Western Distribution Center. Petra retired earlier than planned when the company closed its Salt Lake Center. The new found time in retirement gave her the opportunity to spend half of each year with her mother until she passed away. Petra’s greatest passions were her dogs, traveling, food and wine. A niece once quipped that she wants to come back as one of Petra’s dogs in her next life. Severe arthritis limited her mobility for the past few years, but she still took great joy in her dogs Baron & Jenny, her nightly wine, and when her sons brought her meals. Petra leaves behind two sons, Kai and Eric, and two grandchildren, Ali & Taylor. Petra threatened to come back and haunt her children if they had a funeral, so a funeral will not be held.
