Phuc Lam died peacefully on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 79. Phuc is survived by his daughters Gon, Michelle and April of Salt Lake City Utah and son Dung of Lafayette, Indiana.Phuc was born on January 1, 1937 in Vietnam. While in Vietnam he worked as a taylor and his hobby was wood craftsmanship making fishing boats. During the Vietnam war he aided the south and later migrated to America in the 80’s in a boat with his wife and two children. He initially settled in Indiana with his wife (Thieu Truong), son Dung, and three daughters: Gon, Michelle, and April. After a couple years he and his family settled in Utah where he became a permanent resident. He worked at a machine company cleaning up parts for engineers at Loveland for many years. When his children were young he enjoyed weekly visits to the park and watching his children play. In his elderly years he still maintained his activeness and exercised daily by walking to the grocery store. Phuc was diagnosed with liver cancer in April 2016. As he got more and more fatigued he was still able to maintain an active and positive prospect in life. He was still able to enjoy life and never let anything stop him. He lost the battle to cancer but never lost his spirit. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 12 PM from the Kramer Family Funeral Home at 2500 South Decker Lake Blvd, Suite 1, West Valley City, Utah 84119.
