Reta Tenney Benhardt

Reta Tenney Benhardt passed away last Thursday morning, April 25,2019 at Jordan Valley Medical Center.  She was born June 17, 1932 in Colonia Juarez, Mormon Colonies, Mexico to John Walters Tenney and Emma May O'Donnal. Married to Harold M. Benhardt in December 15, 1951 They had three daughters: Susan Kaye, Kathy Ann  and Tracy Lynn

Survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Accomplishments include:

Serving an LDS family History mission with her daughter Susan, Department Chairman secretary to Physics department at the University of Utah, Assistant to Dean Christensen at BYU's Fine Arts Department, Editor/Assistant to Dept Chair University of California, Santa Barbara where she edited the publications for 4 Nobel Prize winners in Physics, including Steven Hawkings, taught Accounting classes at Santa Barbara city College, worked for Hal Benhardt Construction, partnered design and decor for 20 years of million dollar homes in Santa Barbara California, Sequim, Washington and Utah. Attended the University of Western New Mexico in Silver City, NM on a full music scholarship/soprano soloist. High school in Bisbee, AZ, raised in Virden, NM, star player on the women's volleyball team from Virden.
