It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Bitter Hansen II announces his passing after battling cancer on August 6th, 2018, at the age of 58 years. Bob was born December 16, 1959 in Santa Ana, California to Robert Bitter Hansen and LaRene Eva Park, both parents deceased. Bob is survived by his wife, Meliza; children Rawlee (Nicole), Jaqueline, Elysce (Jose), Rushi Blu, and Kashton Eli. Bob's siblings included sisters, Vicki (Gaylen), Pam, Lori (Dan), Terri (Kim); brothers, Michael Dee Allen (deceased), Steve (Tammi), Brett (Kathy), and Chris (Barbara), and step-father, Grant Park. Bob has three grandchildren, Aspen, Bentley, and Ayden. Bob will also be forever remembered by his extended family and dear friends, and especially his close relationship with his Uncle Dee.

Bob grew up playing sports in Bountiful, Utah. He loved basketball, and as a young boy he would attend any basketball games in the state, especially the Utah Stars, and then later the Utah Jazz. After attending Viewmont High School, he enlisted in the army, and then later on in his life, he enjoyed driving a tour bus, which he considered a paid vacation. Bob's devotion and loyalty to his family was evident; he loved his wife and children, and was always proud of them and their accomplishments. Bob had a sense of humor that was unique and funny to those around him. Bob's life touched so many of us; we will miss him so much. His journey and purpose has now been given to a higher calling, and he will be remembered from his family and friends with much joy and happiness. We will see you again.

A memorial service will be given on behalf of Bob on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11am-1pm at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park located at 17111 S. 1700 W., Bluffdale, Utah. The family of Bob Hansen wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Holladay Healthcare Center staff for their care of him.
