It is with great sorrow that the family of Samuel Richards announces his passing on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 28 years.
Sam was born June 15, 1990 in St. George, Utah, the fifth child to Dirk and Claudia (Waite) Richards. He grew up in seven different foreign countries: DR Congo, Austria, Nepal, Vietnam, Malaysia, Russia, and England. He graduated from Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia and attended Brigham Young University-Idaho and Utah Valley University studying health sciences. He served for two years in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sam will be remembered for his loud laugh, love of ice cream, dance performances with his nieces and wrestling with his nephews.
He is survived by his parents, Dirk and Claudia Richards, his siblings Rachel (Kurt) Romans, Joseph (Maren) Richards, Elaine (Benjamin) Farnsworth, Karen (Roger) McMullan, Timothy (Julie) Richards and their families.
A celebration of Sam's life will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018. Interment will follow at The Salt Lake City Cemetery.
