Virginia Lynn Fernley, beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother passed away June 24th 2016 at her home with family by her side.Virginia was born September 2, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio, to Alice and Joseph Martinez. She spent her childhood in Waller, Texas until her family moved to Utah when she was in Junior High. She eventually settled in West Valley City, and earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Mountain West College. Virginia was a loving grandmother who adored her grandchildren. She spent most of her time caring for them and loved them very much. She is survived by her children, Kathy Fernley, Chad Fernley, and Megan Fernley; grandchildren: Alexia Rivera, Jocelyn Rivera, Lilyaunna Yazzie, Bentley Fernley, and Hunter Fernley. Virginia is also survived by her parents, Alicia and Joseph, and her siblings: Stacie Martinez (Telly), Lynnette (Ed) Rivas, and Destri (Tannis) Martinez. A very heartfelt thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for their compassion and care of Virginia.
