WILLET, Richard Eugene

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Eugene Willet announces his peaceful passing on October 8, 2021, at the age of 82 years.

Richard will be missed dearly by his daughter, Cheri Rae (Willet) Peyton and Son, Bret Lee Willet. Daughter in law Velanie Willet. Grandchildren Brandon Joshua (Brilee) Willet, Richard Cody Willet and Alexis Grace Willet. Great Grandchildren Tucker, Taylee, Hunter, Hank and Treysen.

Preceded in death by his former wife Judy Rae (Greenhalgh) Willet and son Richard Shane Willet.

Richard was born in Beatrice, Nebraska to Jesse Lee Willet and his wife Gertie Vryheid on April 18, 1939. He had 9 brothers and sisters.

Richard was known by his friends and co-workers as “Dick”. He served in the Navy. He worked in mining, construction and at Snowbird Resort.

He loved to golf and go for a drive. He loved old cars that were made of metal, not plastic. He loved a cold beer and had a lot of stories to go with them. He could fix almost anything with a roll of duct tape and loved to help his family out.

In honor of Richard’s wishes, please celebrate his life with fond memories of him. At his request, there will be no funeral services
